Our 2024-25 season Surf Fishing Tuition program covers everything you need to know and learn about Surf Fishing in California with a professional CDFW-licensed guide in one session.

 

Each lesson is tailored to our clients skill level and needs - young or old, beginner or veteran - and we have a wide variety of venues and techniques to suit all ages and levels of mobility.

 

On a 4 hour practical tuition session, we'll hit one of our favorite beaches and cover the best surf fishing rigs, baits, tackle, species ID, how to find structure, how to cast, reading a beach, sand crab hunting, tides, swells, best times to fish, great apps to use, how to handle stingrays, and everything else you need to catch lots of species for fish tacos from the beach, solo or with family.

The session price also includes a detailed, laminated surf fishing playbook and tackle consultation service to help you get rigged up correctly after the session.

Our surf fishing lessons are a fun, one-stop-shop for anyone looking to catch fish from the beach – you'll learn everything you need to know about becoming a successful surf angler from a professional local guide with many years of experience in coaching all age groups and skill levels.
 

Things to know about our Guided Surf Fishing Sessions and Tuitions:

• Any age, experience or ability level catered for - young or old, experienced or beginner

• FREE laminated info sheet and kit list included, plus FREE starter tackle consultation

• Family-friendly beaches in Orange County, San Diego and Los Angeles County – bathrooms and parking nearby

• Year-round dates available 2024- 2025

• Short, family-friendly morning sessions – about four hours is recommended

• For one to four people fishing. Spectators welcome

• All bait, equipment and tackle provided - just turn up and fish

• Targets include any seasonal Pacific surf species: Surf Perch, Corbina, Yellowfin Croaker, Spotfin Croaker, California Halibut, Shovelnose guitarfish, Saltwater Bass and more
